In-Person Services Closed

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, Self-Help Services and the Office of the Family Law Facilitator are closed to in-person assistance. Assistance is currently being provided remotely by telephone.

Self Help

The Court provides free legal assistance to eligible consumers representing themselves in civil cases. While we will not represent you, we can help you to process your own case.

We do not give legal advice, but we can help fill out forms and assist in the following areas:

Alpine County Family Law Facilitator

The Family Law Facilitator is an attorney available to provide procedural assistance to people who are representing themselves in family court. Free legal assistance with issues related to:

  • Child and Spousal Support
  • Child Custody and Visitation
  • Parentage
  • Divorce
  • Property Division
  • Domestic Violence Restraining Orders
  • Other Family Law Matters
