Services
The Court provides free legal assistance to eligible consumers representing themselves in civil cases. While we will not represent you, we can help you to process your own case. We don’t give legal advice, but we can help fill out forms and translate “legalese” in the following areas:
- Family Law
- Evictions
- Dissolution of Marriage
- Small Claims Actions
- Debt Collection
- Parentage Actions
- Child Support, Custody, Visitation
- Guardianship
- Domestic Violence Prevention
- Other civil matters
Free Legal Aid is provided at the Courthouse in Markleeville on the third Thursday of each month. Please call or email the Court to confirm:
