January 27, 2026:

The Court is experiencing intermittent drops in call quality via telephone, and may not be able to respond to contact via telephone. Please contact the court clerk's office for traffic cases via email at traffic@alpine.courts.ca.gov. For other case types, please contact via email at info@alpine.courts.ca.gov. 

February 2, 2026:

There will be a Water Service Interruption (opens in new window) to the Markleeville community, including the courthouse, on Monday, February 2, 2026 during business hours. Parties are encouraged to appear remotely via Zoom for all court proceedings. Contact the court clerk's office to schedule a remote appearance: (530) 694-2113. 

Case Index:

Alpine County Superior Court does not currently offer online access to court records via a public portal, nor is there a public access terminal located at the Markleeville courthouse. All search/research requests and copy requests are performed by court staff.

Online Payments:

The Court has received reports of a formatting issue when submitting payments through the Court's payment vendor ACI Payments, Inc. when using a mobile device such as your phone. Enable "Desktop site" on your preferred mobile browser when checking out, or consider using a computer.

Traffic Cases: DO NOT pay Online or by Phone if you wish to request a Trial by Written Declaration or Court Trial. DO NOT pay the $25.00 corrective fee Online or by Phone if the Court has not received  your Proof of Correction for a "fix-it" violation.

In order to make your payment you will need your docket number/ case number and your fine amount.

Please submit payments by mail at least seven days before your appearance date to allow processing time by the postal service and the court. 

Please include your docket/case number on your check or money order, payable to 'Alpine County Superior Court.'

Pay at the Courthouse

You may come to the courthouse to make a payment at the Clerk's Office window. 

The court can not accept payment by debit or credit card at the window. You can make a payment by cash, check, or money order in person.
